A King--By: Joy Evans

A King

This humble man has power in his hands
He asks when he could easily demand
Viewing his life through a clear perspective
His mirror of faith tall and reflective

Following wise footsteps in thick sand
Trying so hard to be the perfect man
Father, Surgeon, Attorney or Pastor
Helping to resolve any issue faster

A caring spirit and calm soul
Unconditional love filling any holes
Never the loudest in the room, yet full of strength
His thoughtfulness has no measurable length

A glowing model in the fading midst
Every aspiration arranged on a list
Climbing mountains to find his desires
His drive and ambition do not expire

An Adonis leading humble and brave
He knows the true One who can save
Bandits hoping to steal his secret
But, he is determined to keep it

Until the long waited time is right
He must continue the two-sided fight.
