Imperfect Love--By: Joy Evans

Imperfect Love

A look from his eyes, A smile completely
A gaze so deep Turned upside down
It makes the mind wander But, she misses
Calm like sleep having him around
So persistent, He wants his place back
He doesn’t give up Inside her thoughts
Once he’s seen what he wants She runs back
That’s enough. To his net to be caught

A word from his mouth, A person she’s never seen
Stirs her heart Before stands before her
He watches her falling His walk, his talk,
From the start Smirk and laugh unfamiliar
Definitely determined, His true colors painted
He doesn’t stop Brightly on every wall
But…she has her heart Suddenly…
In a safe deposit box No one there to catch her fall.

An evening from his time,
Makes up her mind
She had never met
A sweet soul so kind
Truly an Adonis,
Did he ever have to try?
The sounds from his lips
Could not be lies…

A stolen kiss,
Escapes with her air
When she needs someone
He’s always there
She knows that
She has found something good
They bettered each other
Whenever they could

A feeling of jealousy
Creeps into the room
Trouble comes along
Always too soon
All the girls flirt with him,
It seems more and more
But, she brushes her feelings
Sadly to the floor
